WHAT WE DO
Four directions, one purpose
We bring science and technology closer to people — through hands-on workshops, through competition, and by showing up at the field’s events across Romania.
Robotics competitions
We prepare and support the DUO team in VEX U competitions, from designing the robot to the matches in the arena.
Science and research
We take part in conferences, scientific paper sessions and research events across Romania, alongside universities and partners.
Public events and demonstrations
Robot demonstrations, interactive stands and talks at education fairs and science outreach events.

Two twin brothers, one association
The association and the DUO team were founded by twin brothers Duminică Dănuț-Alexandru and Duminică Adrian-Cătălin.

Vice-president
Co-founder of the STEM DUO Association and of the VEX U robotics team “DUO”. He handles the technical side and the STEM education programmes the association runs in the community.

What is the STEM DUO Association?
The STEM DUO Association is a non-governmental organisation founded by twin brothers Duminică Dănuț-Alexandru and Duminică Adrian-Cătălin. We promote STEM education in the community and host the VEX U robotics team “DUO”.
What is the DUO team and which competition does it enter?
DUO is the association’s robotics team, made up of 8 university students. It competes in VEX U, the university division of the international VEX Robotics competition, where teams design, build and program robots for the season’s challenge.
Who can take part in the association’s activities?
